I am the president of our home owners association. We cover all repairs and replacements of units within our HOA. We had used a couple different HVAC companies previously that were mediocre at best. I called Nevin for a quote and showed him a couple current issues with units. He was able to get one covered under warranty and gave us a great quote to repair and replace all of our units as needed. The very next day we had a furnace stop working and he was out the very next morning. Our current company told me they couldn’t be out for three days. He was able to put a quick fix on the furnace so it works until the new unit came in to replace it. They are professional, knowledgeable and the type of company you want to do business with. I cannot say enough good things about Ouachita Heat and Air!

I would recommend Ouachita Heat & Air a thousand times over for HVAC work! We had a six year old system that did not have the best installation and had all the wrong ductwork, causing temperature spikes and drops all over the place. Our electric bills were over $300 every month. Right as the height of summer heatwave hit, the whole system stopped cooling. We had tried to go through the warranty company that came with the house, but were fed up with the runaround and called Ouachita Heat & Air based on other good reviews. I am so glad we did!

He came out the next day to look at the system, gave us options for repair and replacement. Our budget is tight, so he went out of his way to come up with a repair solution that, while expensive and wouldn't last, would at least patch the issue until we could replace it. Alas, our old system was too far gone for a patch, so full replacement it was. I am so very, very, very glad we did, though.

Along with a new (and good quality) unit sized correctly for our house, he redid all our ductwork, even ran new duct and installed a new vent in a room that had none. He put the new outside unit up on a nice sturdy platform, leveled it, and made sure it looked nice and drained well. Everything was sealed properly and all the work was done quickly and with minimal disruption. The new system works fantastically and the temperature is the same in every single room. His pricing was very fair as well.

He was even kind enough to bring us a loaner portable AC unit so we could be comfortable for the week and a half-ish while we were waiting for the new unit to arrive. That right there probably saved our sanity more than anything and is why I'd give Ouachita Heat & Air ten stars if I could.

And the new HVAC system? Cut our electric bills by almost half. It will likely pay for itself in four years.

I messaged Nevin through Facebook and he got with me first thing this morning and came right out. My unit was fixed by 10 am! Thank you so much for your timely service!! I am a Federal Administrative Law Judge. I stand by my report and comments. I have a Bosch mini split unit. Two years ago I had some major remodeling done on my home. Work was done on the pool,deck,fence, kitchen and interior. My contractor had Bosch mini split units installed in two rooms. Immediately I began having problems with the Bosch unit. From April 2020 to date, my contractor had the original installer and three other HVAC mechanics working to repair the unit. Each mechanic, spent extensive phone time with the Bosch technicians. In August 2020, Bosch sent a new outside unit to the home. The same problem continued. The contractor offered to install a different system.
I contacted Bosch, informed them of the longstanding issue, including the new unit. They sent me to their website to seek a Bosch authorized HVAC mechanic. Nevin Spatz, owner of Quachita H & A, showed up the next day and was prompt. He had knowledge of the system and noticed that it was installed improperly. He made the adjustment, and the problem I had for 10 months was gone. He was honest and the cost was minimal less than $100.
